Dave joined the firm in 1964 and serves as the treasurer to the corporation.  Dave is also the manager of our Collinsville, Illinois office.  His areas of concentration include services to area construction contractors, employee benefit plans and not-for-profit organizations. 

Dave is involved in numerous community organizations such as the Belleville Exchange Club (past president), Collinsville Lions Club (past president) and a twenty year director on the Belleville Area YMCA board.

GERALD T. MAXIM, CPA

Jerry joined the firm in 1972 and currently serves as its President and Managing Principal.  His area of specialization includes services to the medical and legal professions and employee benefit plans consulting and administration.  He is also in charge of the firm's continuing education commitment for all professional staff. 

Jerry has served in several community organizations including past President of The Westside Optimist Club of Belleville and fund raising committees for the Salvation Army, United Way and the Belleville Area Chamber of Commerce.

JEROME L. REILMANN, CPA

Jerry joined the firm in 1972 and currently serves as vice-president to the Corporation.  His areas of expertise include services to our governmental and not-for-profit clients.  He also has substantial training and experience in the area of estate planning and related return preparation.

Jerry has served in several community organizations including the Belleville Downtown Optimist Club (past president), Board of Directors of Hospice of Southern Illinois and the Belleville Public Library.  He is also a past president of the Southern Chapter of the Illinois CPA Society.

JOHN B. SCHOMAKER, CPA

John joined the firm in 1980 and currently serves as Secretary to the Corporation.  His areas of specialization include governmental and not-for-profit auditing along with commercial audits and personal financial planning.  He also maintains the firm's quality control procedures and is in-charge of the firm's peer review process. 

John is past president of the Belleville Rotary Club and is active in the Knights of Columbus.

BILL R. DIXON, CPA

Bill joined the firm in 1993 after graduating from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, Illinois.  He has extensive experience in our auditing department and manages many of our governmental and commercial engagements.

Bill is very active in the Westside Optimist Club of Belleville and is a past president of that organization.

MARK J. MAXIM, CPA

Mark joined the firm in 2001 after beginning his career on the auditing staff at KPMG in St. Louis.  Mark graduated from St. Louis University in May 1999 and passed the uniform CPA examination in May 2000.  He is involved in governmental and commercial auditing and has substantial training and experience in computer software and hardware applications.

At the community level, he is very active in the sports area, coaching youth soccer teams and playing soccer at the amateur level.

DOUGLAS G. MARTIN, CPA

Doug joined the firm in 1998 upon graduation from St. Louis University.  Doug works with many of our clients in the medical profession and has extensive experience in real estate ownership and operation arrangements.  He is also involved in the auditing of our governmental and school district clientele. 

Doug is a member of the Optimist Club of Belleville servicing the youth of our area.

HILARY B. SMITH

Hilary started with Rice, Sullivan & Co., Ltd. in November 2003.  She is a graduate of Western Illinois University and will be taking the CPA exam in the next few months.    Hilary’s previous work experience for a realtor and a bank, have been beneficial to her work with the firm.

JASON MILLER

Jason started with Rice, Sullivan & Co. in November 2007.  He received his undergraduate degree in accountancy from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2003 and recently completed his Master’s in Business Administration at Webster University.  Jason will be taking the CPA exam in the fall.  Jason’s previous work experience includes a background in corporate taxation with a leading life insurance company and recently worked in financial accounting with a local sports team.

KRISTEN FRIEDERICH

Kristen joined Rice, Sullivan & Co. in December 2007.  She received her undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville in 2003 and will complete her Masters of Accountancy degree in August 2008.  Kristen will be taking the CPA exam soon after graduation.  Her prior experience in the banking industry and Title IV funding for financial aid has been helpful to her work with the firm.
