Emily joined Rice, Sullivan & Co. in 2008. In her role as a staff accountant, she performs compilations for numerous local companies. Emily also prepares both corporate and individual income tax returns. She has experience performing annual audits for school districts and other local organizations.
Prior to joining the firm, Emily worked as a bank teller, an accountant for a local nonprofit organization and an accountant at a local CPA firm. She also worked at a local car dealership for over four years. Emily started as a receptionist and advanced to the accounting department, where she assisted in accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash receipts. The diverse experience she has earned over the years has equipped her with skills and knowledge to provide services which meet the unique needs the clients she serves.
Emily was inspired to pursue an accounting career due to several family members who also work in the profession. Today she attributes her successful career to her supportive family and determination to succeed.
Emily grew up in Belleville, Illinois and currently resides in Swansea. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, baking and playing with her dog.
