Jerry began his career at Rice, Sullivan & Co. in 1972. In his role as President and Managing Principal, he plays an integral role in the firm’s day-to-day functions, as well as its strategic decisions. Jerry is also in charge of CPE compliance for the firm’s professional staff.

Beyond his leadership roles, Jerry specializes in providing small business tax and consulting services and implementing retirement plans for the firm’s clients. In addition, he serves clients in the medical and auto dealership industries. Jerry is Rice, Sullivan & Co.’s go-to professional for questions regarding retirement plan design and analysis.

Prior to joining the firm, Jerry worked for one year for a sole practitioner. With more than 35 years in the accounting and consulting field, he has assisted clients with a broad range of technical and advisory issues. Specifically, Jerry has assisted numerous clients with maximizing the benefits of their business investments by advising on the purchases and sales of businesses and business segments.

Before his professional career began, Jerry was confident accounting would be the ideal fit because he excelled in math. He attributes his professional success to the close, personal attention he provides to his clients. Jerry also credits his wife, Carol. She has been by his side every step of the way.

Jerry was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and spent part of his childhood in Long Island, New York. He currently resides in Swansea, Illinois with his wife. Together they have two children and six grandchildren. In his spare time, Jerry enjoys boating at Table Rock Lake in Missouri.
